  1. This verse tells us that we are to delight in his commands. I must admit that I don't always delight in those commands. I understand the need to have them and how God loves me no matter what. Got to work to do on this one.

  2. Cherish is one of my favorite words. I have a soft spot every time I see it on a plaque or cup. When we cherish something we hold it dear and near to our hearts. I am drinking from a cup given to me that says, "Cherish Family and Friends." The psalmist feels this same way about God's commandments and encourages me to delight in them as much and more as I delight in my family and friends. I am so thankful that I live in a country where I can openly admit that I cherish God's Word. When I delight in God's Word, I want to be obedient to His commands. I am not able to do this on my own, but it is what God desires and requires of me. That is why He reminds us over and over and over in His Word that we need to fully rely on Him.
