Psalm 119:23

New International Version (NIV)
23 Though rulers sit together and slander me,
    your servant will meditate on your decrees.
 
The Message:
While bad neighbors maliciously gossip about me,
    I’m absorbed in pondering your wise counsel.

    If a person focuses on what people say about them, our attention is moved away from God. We need to focus on what God thinks and consult him. Like these verses today.

    This verse makes me think about how Christians are treated by our culture today. We need to absorb God's Word and rely on God's counsel and stand up for Jesus!
