Psalm 119:27
New International Version (NIV)
27 Cause me to understand the way of your precepts,
that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.
that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.
The Message:
Help me understand these things inside and out
so I can ponder your miracle-wonders.
so I can ponder your miracle-wonders.
I often struggle with understanding scripture, but I continue to try and try until the fog lifts and I discover something wonderful. Just like today on my drive to work. The fog had settled in, but I looked down and saw the start of green grass coming up. I sometimes forget to take a look from a different mind set and then scripture opens up and I see green!
ReplyDeleteWell said, Susan! It always amazes me, when a verse I may have read many times before all of a sudden becomes very meaningful to me. isn't God good when He brings today's verse to us on a foggy day to help us apply it to our lives. I am so thankful for all the opportunities I am privileged to enjoy so that God's Word can come to life for me...whether it be Bible studies, Sunday School, praying with others, listening to radio lessons, the sermons on Sunday, online Bible studies, or my own precious quiet time in God's Word. As I studied in Luke last week, Luke 12:15 taught me to be on guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. The life application for that verse said that Jesus says that the good life has nothing to do with being wealthy; but the truly good life is living in a relationship with God and doing His work. Thank you Jesus for making it possible for me to have access to the King of Kings...! Life is good!
