The Message:
Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets,
invigorate me on the pilgrim way.
Yesterday we were encouraged to turn our hearts toward God's laws and what is important for eternity not towards making money. Today we are encouraged to turn our eyes away from temporary stuff. It sounds easy, but we need to depend on God to keep us on the right path. I am so thankful for His love and promises. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of this earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace-
ReplyDeleteThe world is so full of temporary stuff. We are reminded of that every day when we hear of floods, tornadoes, fires that destroy our possessions. I do sympathise for those who are affected by this, but I am encouraged when people recognized that this is just stuff and that the most important things are still here and that is family, friends and of course GOD.
